Elio Leoni-Sceti

Chief Executive Officer and President, New Music, EMI Music


Elio Leoni-Sceti is Chief Executive Officer of EMI Music and president of its New Music division.

Born and educated in Rome, Leoni-Sceti started his career in 1988 as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble before moving to Reckitt Benckiser in 1992 as a category manager.

In 2001 he was appointed Executive Vice President at Reckitt Benckiser and would play a key role in the subsequent growth of the company. From 2001 to 2005, he was Head of Category Development, leading the company's innovation, product pipeline, global marketing and media, and from 2005 to 2008 he was Reckitt Benckiser's Head of Europe, a £3 billion business which saw outstanding levels of growth under his leadership.

Leono-Sceti joined EMI as CEO in September 2008.
