30 years ago, in 1976, Queen's tour-de-force Bohemian Rhapsody entered the American charts for the first time. The original Freddie Mercury-led group are still on the American best seller lists via Hollywood Records' "Greatest Hits" package on Billboard's Top Pop Catalog chart. Outside the US Queen are released by EMI Music's Parlophone label.
Along with the aforementioned Bohemian Rhapsody, which re-entered the world's consciousness in 1992 courtesy of its memorable use in "Wayne's World", other Queen milestone favorites are Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You.
Turn back the clock just a few additional years and you'll discover another legendary British rock band: the immortal Electric Light Orchestra. Jeff Lynne's songs for ELO in the 1970's and early to mid-1980's provide a cascade of memorable anthems including Can't Get It Out Of My Head, Don't Bring Me Down, Evil Woman, Turn To Stone, Livin' Thing, Telephone Line, Shine A Little Love, Strange Magic, Hold On Tight plus the celebratory Rock 'N' Roll Is King.
Finally, we musn't forget Do Ya which was initially recorded by The Move, the pre-ELO band which featured Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood.
